HD ov...</title><content type='html'>I&amp;#39;ve been wrestling with the same issues.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;HD over 802.11n 5Ghz seems to work a treat and I can highly recommend the NetGear WDNR3700 which has both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz radios so you keep the 5Ghz (n) for your HD streams and use the 2.4Ghz (b/g/n) for everything else.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for the transcoding thing, I&amp;#39;ve tried a couple of methods too, although primarily for viewing SD content across lower bandwidth networks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Generate a lower defintion copy - but this takes CPU and disk space&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.
